Welcome to The T-Exchange

Come and join in at the Moray Firth MAKERSPACE

in the "Garden Room" at the Findhorn Village Centre

Our next meeting (3rd Friday of each month) will be on:

Friday 21st October from 7:00 pm

NB The next STEAMIE is at Horizon Scotland on Friday 4th November.

Here are a few early snaps of The T-Exchange at the Orkney International Science Festival on Family Day Saturday 3rd September.

In the above pictures you may discern Mark demonstrating his innovative digital colour visualisation of air motion using the Schlieren principle.   Selena and her friends conceived and created the window of the Fashion of the Future using upcycled materials supported by 3D reformed waste PET bottles.  They were, of course, supported by a couple of friendly fellows turning their hands, with aid of hair driers, to reforming the printed blanks into a range of flowers for the visiting children to form into bangles and necklaces using other waste materials.  Claire's CoderDojo computer workshop was swarming all day.

Selena's captured moments at The OISF coming soon.

Why should you come along to the next T-Exchange meeting?

Do you live near Keith, Buckie, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Forres, Nairn, Inverness,
the Black Isle or anywhere around the Moray Firth ?
Are you a person with ideas ?
Would you like to convert your ideas into brains-and-hands-on projects ?
Are you stuck for somewhere to put your ideas into practice ?
Would you like to learn the skills you need ? (without exams or certificates)
Are you short of the tools you need ?
Would you like to explore the business potential of your ideas ?
Are you artistic ?
Would discussion with like or even unlike minds help you to make stuff ?
Are you interested in advanced technology such as:

3D printers - Raspberry Pi - robots - Arduino - new materials - Python - Processing

Would you be prepared to exchange your own skills with others ?
Are you green or ANY other colour?

If you have said “Yes!” to ANY of the above then

Makerspaces and hackerspaces for the likes of us are being formed around the world.
