In case you haven't seen any, black swans are brilliant things we never new existed or even thought could exist.

Naturally, there are no promises here.  Some black swans just might be too black.....

T-Exchange lights-up for Mothers' Day

On Friday 16th April, T-Exchange met for the third time this year.  This week's workshop was on soldering.  Learning this basic technique is crucial in building confidence with electronics.  We had 13 people turn up which was larger than expected but its a nice a problem to have!

For the activities which started about quarter to eight, 4 people opted to learn more about Sketch-up, while the others tried their hand at soldering a simple circuit, pictured below.  Their was a range of abilities from expert (Thank you Richard for sharing your knowledge and skills!) to beginner and lots in between.  Everybody helped everyone else to complete their circuits.  Alongside us was Scott who is doing an exciting Arduino project, demonstrating that if you have a project then its great to bring it along and share it with the group.

Overall, a very enjoyable evening filled with great discussion, meeting new people and learning new skills - what more could you ask for!

(Oh and for those worrying about my circuit - one of the resistors was dud - fixed Sunday afternoon!)

See you all next month.
