Google SketchUp Workshop.
For this workshop Bill Graham took us through a tutorial on Google's 3D drawing application called Sketchup. This is a great application for engineers, artists, architects, game designers and anyone else who wants to have an easy to use tool to design objects in 3D.
The workshop was to design to a small part for a 3D printer. This took us through the basics of drawing shapes, extruding the required shape, panning and zooming.
A very enjoyable evening, it was great to have someone who had used the software before to lead through the basics which enabled people to go on to design their own creations much faster.
Next time, Bill will have another tutorial for Sketchup running alongside our soldering and resistance workshop, so if you fancy a go bring your laptops!
